Presidential Election No Help For The Market

The market needs all the help it can get these days but it's not going to get any from the Presidential elections.  I was hoping the market could get a boost from the promises of a new administration.  However, the more I learn about our choices, the more confounding picking a President becomes.  

On the one hand, we have a socialist candidate borne out of the muck of Chicago-style politics, sponsored by 1960s radicals and corrupt businessmen who's only proven skill is running great campaigns and giving superb speeches, with his closest adviser having a giant chip on her shoulder for most of her adult life. 

On the other hand, you have aging maverick (a pseudonym for moron) who has been diagnosed with malignant cancer four times and who just chose an "Ann Coulter"-like beauty queen with a questionable moral and ethical compass to be the second in command. 

I'm truly dumbfounded by our choices for President this year and I think the market will respond likewise.  Based on the Presidential race, the best we can hope for is more sideways choppiness. 

Before you send me any nasty emails, be sure to read all the links I've included.  I am truly apolitical and have voted for Republicans, Democrats and Libertarians depending on whom I thought could best lead the country.  

At this point, I'm voting for Canada '08.

Socialism is mutually exclusive with a bull market.
I saw them destroy the British economy in the late 60's and 70's "there is one for you nineteen for me, I am the tax man" The Stones and The Beatles had to move to the Caribeans. They consolidated their automobile industry into one government owned company British Motors. Britain has not been in that business ever since BMW, (which ended up owning BMC rebaptized Rover), gave it away (just like Daimler did with Chrysler).Then in the eighties Mitterand completely destroyed the French economy (wealth tax etc, nationalized banking and put his cronies in charge-- the productive French moved to Thatcher's Britain).We all know what happened to the real socialists in China, USSR and Cambodia--The class war always the class war--He is even proposing wealth transfer from wall street and oil to the rust belt!
Now I agree she is hot, but does not even believe in the morning after pill! How can she do it?

You know somethings gone wrong when we have presidential discussions led by a pastor inside a church. What the hell? It feels like America is regressing into some pre-science society.

I just want to ask some of these people if they know where their medication comes from. Most biology and science majors, for that matter, do not believe in a personal god, much less, creationism. Your medicine and other technology is being created by godless heathens. OMG!!!!
